A tribute act to one of the most famous bands of all time, performing well-known hits within the atmosphere of Ormskirk Parish Church, complete with smoke machines and dramatic lighting effects to reinforce the event. On a personal level, I had anticipated a rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ but wasn’t convinced that they’d include my own favourite track, the early and seemingly very little-known ‘Seven Seas of Rhye’, but there is was, just before the interval. The licensed bar at the back and the popcorn stall finished the evening off in style and it was a not-to-be-forgotten experience!
